3B1-10 ELECTRICAL POWER STEERING (EPS) SYSTEM (IF EQUIPPED)
TABLE-B "EPS" WARNING LAMP FLASHES
STEP
1 Was "SYSTEM CHECK FLOW TABLE"
performed?
2 1) Check monitor coupler for P/S system.
Is it connected diagnosis switch terminal for P/S
system and ground terminal in monitor coupler by
service wire?
3 1) With ignition switch OFF, disconnect 8-pin ("A")
connector from P/S control module.
2) Measure resistance between "A7" terminal of
"A" connector and body ground.
Is resistance 1 Ω or less?

ACTION YES
Go to Step 2.
Remove service wire.
Repair short from
"BI/W" wire circuit to
ground.

Substitute a known-
good P/S control
module and recheck.
