Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)
Step
1 CHECK CURRENT DATA.
1) Start the engine.
2) Read the data of fuel temperature sensor
signal using Subaru Select Monitor.
NOTE:
Subaru Select Monitor

2 CHECK CURRENT DATA.
1) Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
2) Remove the access hole lid.
3) Disconnect the connector from fuel pump.
4) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
5) Read the data of fuel temperature sensor
signal using Subaru Select Monitor.

Check
Is the fuel temperature above
150°C (302°F) ?
Is the fuel temperature less
than –40°C (–40°F) ?

Yes No
Go to step 2. Even if the mal-
function indicator
light illuminates,
the circuit has
returned to a nor-
mal condition at
this time.
Replace the fuel Repair the ground
