Step
1 CHECK TEST MODE CONNECTOR.
1) Disconnect the test mode connector.
2) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
2 CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN ECM CON-
NECTOR AND TEST MODE CONNECTOR.
1) Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
2) Disconnect the connectors from ECM.
3) Measure the resistance of harness
between ECM connector and test mode con-
nector.

Malfunction Indicator Light
Check
Does the malfunction indicator
light blink?
Is the resistance less than 5
Ω?

ENGINE (DIAGNOSTICS)
Yes No
Go to step 2. System is normal.
NOTE:
Malfunction indica-
tor light blinks
when test mode

nected.
