A Shark® 200 meter with an Ethernet card also becomes a Web server. In addition,
the user can configure the Ethernet card to send emails on programmed alarms and/
or to send notification emails of selected data on a set schedule. See Chapter 8.4.2.3:
Email Notification on page 8-14, for more information on this feature.
Both the INP100S and the INP300S cards with a firmware version of 3.43 or higher
offer enhanced security through the Exclusive Client feature. This feature lets you
Whitelist an IP and/or MAC address. When that address is used to connect to the
meter, all other network communication with the meter, though the same Network
card, is suspended. This ensures that anything being done, e.g., updating program-
mable settings, while the Whitelist address is being used to communicate with the
meter, is secure. You set up this feature through Communicator EXT
Chapter 8 in the Communicator EXT
Manual for instructions.
The INP100S card also supports data push of up to 15 meter readings to cloud ser-
vices using the JSON structure, such as Lucid BuildingOS® Data Push. For instruc-
tions on setting up the meter to perform data push, see 8.4.2.4: Data Push on
page 8-20.
The Shark® 200 meter is designed with advanced measurement capabilities, allowing
it to achieve high performance accuracy. It is specified as a 0.2% class energy meter
for billing applications as well as a highly accurate panel indication meter. It supplies
0.001 Hz Frequency measurement which meets generating stations' requirements.
The Shark® 200 meter provides additional capabilities, including standard RS485,
Modbus® and DNP 3.0 protocol support, an IrDA port for remote interrogation, and
Option cards that can be added at any time.
UL 61010-1 does not address performance criteria for revenue generating watt-hour
meters for use in metering of utilities and/or communicating directly with utilities, or
use within a substation. Use in revenue metering, communicating with utilities, and
use in substations was verified according to the ANSI and IEC standards listed in
Compliance Section (2.3).
Features of the Shark® 200 meter include:
• 0.2% Class revenue certifiable energy and demand metering
• Meets ANSI C12.20 (0.2%) and IEC 62053-22 (0.2%) classes
