15.5.1.2.2 <DF WLVL1/2>

Method of operatoin

Use it to enable or disable initial multiple rotation used for installation work.

You can disable initial multiple rotation if you are concerned about the image

formation sequence (i.e., forming a patch or executing Dmax/Dhalf), which can soil

or wear out internal components during installation work).

If the color toner set up run (FUNCTION>INSTALL>INSET 3) ends fully

normally, the setting herein will automatically be cancelled (to prevent faults that

otherwise could occur if the function is not manually switched back); if the run failed

to end, however, the initial multiple rotation function will remain disabled.

0: enable initial multiple rotation

1: disable initial multiple rotation (item under DC controller)

at time of shipment: factory adjustment value

upon RAM initialization: 0

Use it to adjust the ADF white level.

Adjust the ADF white level as follows (copyboard scan):

1) Place the type of original most often used by the user on the copyboard glass,

and execute the following service mode item: COPIER>FUNCTION>CCD>DF

WLVL1. (In response, the machine will read the white level for book mode,

checking the transmission quality of the glass for book mode).

Adjust the ADF white level as follows (stream reading scan)

2) Place the type of original most often used by the user in the DF, and execute the

following service mode item: COPIER>FUNCTION>CCD>DF WLVL2. (In

response, the machine will read the white level for DF mode (stream reading

mode), checking the transmission quality of the reading glass by reading both sides

of the original.)

Be sure to execute this item in combination with item 2.
