Disconnect the shift solenoid harness connector.
Check for continuity between PCM connector
terminal C5 and the No. 8 terminal of the shift
solenoid harness connector.

YES - Check the shift solenoid valve D, and check
for an open ln the shift solenoid harness in the
t r a n s m i s s i o n ( s e e p a g e 1 4 - 1 2 5 ) . 1
NO Repair open in the wire between PCM
connector terminal C5 and the shift solenoid
harness connector.l
