Shift Lock System Circuit Troubleshooting
1. Press the brake pedal.
Are the brake tights ON?
YES Go to step 2.
NO Repair fautty brake light circuit. t
2. Turn the ignition switch ON l), and shift to the E
position.
3. Press the brake pedal, release the accelerator pedal,
and measure the voltage between pCM connector
terminal E13 and body ground.

ls there battery voltage?
YES- Go to srep 4.
NO Go to step 8.
4. Remove the under-dash fuse/relay box from the
dash.

5. Measure the voltage between No. 6 terminal ofthe
N o . 1 0 c o n n e c t o r ( 1 3 P ) a n d b o d y g r o u n d w i t h t h e
accelerator pedal released and brake Dedal Dressed.

YES - Go to step 6.
NO-Repair open in the wire between pCM
connector terminal E13 and the multiplex control

6. Measure the voltage between the No. 3 terminal of
the No. 1 1 connector (6p) of the under,dash fuse/
relay box and body ground.
