Torque Converter Housing
Secondary Shaft Bearing Replacement
Special Tools Required
. Driver 07749-0010000
. Attachment, 62 x 68 mm 07746-OOi05OO
1, Remove the bolt, then remove the lock washer lA)
and bearing set plate (B).
Remove the secondary shaft bearing (A) by heating
the housing to about 212 .F (100 .C) with a heat gun
{B). Do not heat the houslng in excess of 212 "F
(100.c).
NOTE; Letthe housing cool to normal temperature
before installing the bearing.

3. Installthe new O-rings (A) on the ATF guide collar
( B ) . t h e n i n s t a l l t h e A T F g u i d e c o l l a r i n t h e h o u s i n q .
Install the new secondary shaft bearing (C) in the
direction shown.
Drive the secondary shaft bearing with the special
t o o l s , a n d i n s t a l l i t s e c u r e l y i n t h e h o u s i n g .

Check that the bearing groove aligns with the
h o u s i n g s u r f a c e , t h e n i n s t a l l t h e b e a r i n g s e t p l a t e
w h i l e a l i g n i n g t h e b e a r i n g g r o o v e .
Install the new lock washer and bolt, then bend the
lock tab of the lock washer against the bolt head.
