Driveshafts Reassembly (cont'd)

. Boot band pincers, KENT-MOORE J-35910 or
e q u i v a l e n t c o m m e r c i a l l y a v a i l a b l e
NOTE: Refer to the Exploded View as needed during
this procedure.
lnboard Joint Side:
1. Wrap the splines with vinyl tape (A) to prevent
damage to the inboard boot and dynamic damper.
lnstall the dynamic damper and inboard boot onto
the driveshaft, then remove the vinvl taoe. Be
careful not to damage the inboard boot and
dynamic damper.

3. Installthe spider iA) onto the driveshaft by aligning
t h e m a r k s ( B ) o n t h e s p i d e r a n d t h e e n d o f t h e
driveshaft.

Fit the circlip {C) into the driveshaft groove, Always
rotate the circlip in its groove to make sure it is fully
seated.
Fit the rollers (A) onto the spider (B) with their high
shoulders facing outward, and note these items:
. R e i n s t a l l t h e r o l l e r s i n t h e i r o r i g i n a l p o s i t i o n s o n
the spider by aligning the marks {C).
. Hold the driveshaft pointed up to prevent the
rollers lrom falling off.
