Switching to Fax Mode
When sending or manually receiving a document, press the FAX button

to light its lamp.
When the unit is in fax mode, the display below appears.

RESOLUTION
Your unit can be set so that settings such as document resolution and
scanning density always return to their default setting when the unit
is switched to fax mode with the FAX button or when a fax
transmission is complete. These initial settings are known as the "Fax
Default Settings" and can be changed. (1 p. 14-39)
Autoclear Function
Even when the mode is changed with the FAX or COPY button, the unit
automatically returns to its default mode and settings after a certain time.
This is known as the "Autoclear Function".
The autoclear function can also be adjusted. (1 p. 14-34)
