Adjusting the Scanning Resolution

This unit has four settings so you can adjust the resolution for documents

with fine text and thin lines. The higher the resolution, the higher the

quality of output, but the slower the scanning speed.

Set the resolution as follows:

Press F1 (RESOLUTION) until the resolution setting you want is

If the receiving unit does not have the super fine or ultra fine feature and

you send a document with one of these resolutions, the image they

receive will reproduce at their unit's maximum resolution setting.

Sending Documents

READY TO SEND

STANDARD is used for normal printed or typewritten text.

FINE is used for fine print.

SUPER FINE is used for very fine print and illustrations.

ULTRA FINE is used for very detailed illustrations.

If you do not press Set within three seconds of selecting the

scanning resolution setting, your selection will automatically

be set without you having to press Set.
