Receiving a Document Manually with the
Handset: MANUAL RX Mode
To use this mode you need to have the telephone connected to the unit.
(1 Chapter 2 of the Copier User's Guide)
In MANUAL RX mode, the unit rings every time it receives a call, whether
from a telephone or a fax unit. This mode is convenient when you want
to use your unit mainly as a telephone, and only occasionally receive
documents.

The receiving speed is 14400 bps or less when receiving manually.
Setting MANUAL RX Mode
Follow the procedure below to set the unit for MANUAL RX mode.

When you select MANUAL RX as the receive mode, be sure not to leave
any documents set in the unit. Otherwise you will be unable to receive
documents.
1.
Press FAX to switch to fax mode.

Open all three one-touch speed dialling panels.
3.
Press Receive Mode until MANUAL RX is displayed.
