Receiving a Document Manually at the Unit
Follow this procedure to receive a document manually at the unit.

Before you can use this feature, you must install a telephone to the
unit. (1 Chapter 2 of the Copier User's Guide)
When you set MANUAL RX as the receive mode, be sure not to leave
any documents set on the unit, otherwise you will be unable to
receive documents.
1.
Make sure you have selected MANUAL RX for the receive mode.

When you hear the telephone connected to your unit ring, pick up
the handset.

If you hear someone on the line, you can talk.

If you hear a slow beep tone, this means that someone is trying to
send you a document. If this happens go straight to step 5.
4.
When the caller is ready to send you a document, ask them to
press the start button on their fax unit.

Press FAX to switch to fax mode.

Press Start on your unit.
7.
Hang up the handset.

Receiving Documents
The fax lamp lights.
You cannot switch to FAX mode while you are making copies.
Press Stop to cancel copying, and then press FAX .
The unit begins receiving the document.
