To enter a pause at the end of a number, press Pause then press
Pause

Adjusting the Length of the Pause
Follow this procedure to adjust the length of the pause entered within a
number. The default pause length is four seconds*.

This procedure is used only for adjusting the length of a pause entered
within a fax/telephone number. A pause entered at the end of a fax/
telephone number cannot be adjusted. This pause is set to 10 seconds.

The pause at the end of a number appears as an uppercase P
and is 10 seconds long (this length is not changeable).
You may have to insert one or more pauses at the end of a
number to dial an overseas number. Each pause is 10 seconds
long.
