Set Button
Selects a menu item or setting during data registration. Also used when sending a
document from the platen glass. Has the same function as the Set button of the
function buttons.

Data Registration Button/Lamp (1 p. 2-11)
Accesses the different menus for setting speed dialling, user preferences, sending
and receiving options, and many other important settings. Blinks green when
accessing the menus.

Reset Button
In copy mode, returns to standby copy mode. In fax mode, has the same function
as the Stop button.

Numeric Keypad (1 pp. 2-15, 4-21)
Enters numbers when dialling or registering numbers. Also enters letters and
symbols when registering names.

Clear Button (1 p. 2-19)
Clears an entire entry when registering information. Has the same function as the
Clear button of the function buttons.

Start Button/Lamp
Starts sending, receiving, copying, and other operations. Also used to begin
scanning for sending a document set on the platen glass. Lights green when it can
be pressed, and orange when it cannot be used.

Stop Button (1 p. 2-14)
Cancels sending, receiving, registering data and other operations, and returns the
unit to standby mode.

One-Touch Speed Dialling Buttons (1 pp. 3-2, 3-8, 3-49)
Dial numbers registered under one-touch speed dialling buttons. Close all one-
touch speed dialling panels to access buttons 1 to 28. Open the first panel to
access buttons 29 to 56, and open the second panel for buttons 57 to 84.

The first three panels display the one-touch speed dialling buttons (1 to 84). The
bottom panel displays the special function buttons described on the following
pages.
