Before Entering Numbers for Speed Dialling

Read this section before you register numbers for speed dialling,
especially if your site has special dialling requirements such as dialling
through a Private Branch Exchange (PBX).

Entering Pauses for Dialling

You may have to enter pauses in a fax/telephone number in the
following situations:
If your unit is connected to a switchboard or Private Branch
Exchange (PBX), you may have to enter a pause between the outside
line access number and the fax/telephone number. Contact your local
authorised Olivetti dealer or the Olivetti Lexikon Help Desk, or your
local telephone company to find out if this is necessary.
When dialling an overseas number, you may need to insert a pause at
the end of a number.
The procedure below explains how to enter pauses within a number, or
at the end of a number. Use this procedure when using regular dialling or
when registering a speed dialling entry.
