Troubleshooting
Meaning
There may be a mismatch between the paper size detection
lever setting and the paper size actually loaded. However,
there may also be a mismatch between the paper size
specified for the stack bypass and the actual size loaded.
Check to see whether the specified paper size matches the
size actually set. If there is a mismatch, respecify the size
correctly, then open and close the front cover.

This message appears when you turn on the power or
attempt sending using direct sending while receiving to or
sending from memory. This message also appears when
your unit is not yet ready to print. Wait until the message
disappears before operating the unit.

Remove the jammed paper in accordance with the displays

right cover, [3] is the cartridge area, and [4] is the stack
bypass.
This message may be displayed if you open the cover during
printing, then close it again. In this case, open the cover and
check to see whether the paper is jammed or not. If jammed,
remove the paper then close the cover again to clear the
message.
Enter the subaddress and access code of the confidential
mailbox storing the received document and print out the

A document was received in the memory box. Print out the

A document was received in memory because the toner or
paper has run out. Replace the toner cartridge or replenish
the paper, then print out the document stored in memory.
