You must press Password within five seconds of pressing Set. If you
wait longer than five seconds, the unit will start scanning the document.
The time-out interval can be turned off. (1 p. 14-18)

The password can be up to 20 digits long, and can include h,
#, and spaces.
To enter a space, press Space.
To delete the rightmost digit, press F4 (DELETE).
To correct an entire entry, press Clear.
If you have set the document on the platen glass, follow steps
6 to 8 on page 4-27, then press Set.
The document is sent with the subaddress and password.
