transmit documents. If the other party's fax unit can use ITU-T
subaddresses and passwords, you can set up and use memory boxes
regardless of the model or manufacturer of the other fax unit. (1 p. 6-22)
Automatic dialling
Automatic dialling includes one-touch speed dialling, coded speed
dialling, and group dialling. They allow you to dial a fax/telephone
number easily and send a document to more than one destination. You
can store up to 84 numbers for one-touch speed dialling, and 116
numbers for coded speed dialling. Multiple one-touch and coded speed
dialling entries can be registered in a group. Group dialling allows you to
dial up to 199 destinations in a single operation. (1 Chapter 3)
Delayed sending
A document can be scanned into the unit's memory and sent at a
specified time. This allows you to save on communication costs by
setting a sending time when communication costs are comparatively
cheaper, for example, late at night or during holidays. (1 p. 4-52)
Multiple transmission
The same document can be sent to multiple destinations by a single
operation.
By using one-touch speed dialling, coded speed dialling, and regular
dialling with the numeric keypad, you can send the same document to as
many as 210 destinations at a time. (1 p. 4-47)
Relay transmission
When sending documents long distance to multiple recipients, sending
the document once to a relay unit near the recipients and using that relay
unit to send the document onto the individual local recipients can save
on long-distance communication costs. (1 Chapter 7)
Polling
The receiving unit can call the sending unit and request it to send the
document it is holding. The receiving unit can be set to poll at specified
times and collect information regularly from the sending unit. In polling
to receive, the receiver is accountable for the transmission costs.
