Polling
The LCD may prompt you to enter a sender name. You can
select a name (1 p. 4-11) and press Set, or press Set if you do
not want to enter one.
The unit starts scanning the document into the polling box.

Keep a record of the TX/RX number in case you want to cancel
polling sending settings.
If you have set the document on the platen glass, follow steps
6 to 8 on pages 4-27, then press Set.
When another party polls your unit to receive a document
stored in your polling box, the document is sent if the
following conditions are met:
• If you entered both a subaddress and a password when
you created the polling box, the subaddress and the
password of the other party's polling request must match
the subaddress and the password for the polling box.
• The password setting is optional. However, if you have
registered a password for the polling box, the other party's
polling request must contain a matching password.
• If no password is registered for the document in the polling
box and the other party's polling request contains a
password, then the document is not sent.
When the document is polled by the other party, the
document is deleted from the unit's memory. However, you
can set your unit to keep the document in memory even after
it is sent. (1 p. 9-29)
You can delete a document scanned into a polling box with the
Memory Reference button. (1 p. 6-20)
