Energy Saver Mode

You can set the unit to enter an energy saver mode when it remains idle
for a specified length of time. When the unit is in energy saver mode, the
LCD display and lamps on the operation panel turn off and the unit
enters a low-energy sleep mode consuming less power.

Turning Energy Saver Mode On

In order for the unit to enter energy saver mode, you need to first activate
this mode. The procedure below explains how to activate this mode and
set how long the unit has to remain idle before entering energy saver
mode.

Energy saver mode does not operate when
there is a document in memory,
a paper jam occurs,
the toner cartridge needs replacing,
there is a document set in the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF), or
