Fabric OS Commands

quietMode

Toggle the shell quiet mode on and off.
Synopsis
quietMode [mode]
Availability
All users (display).
Admin (set/clear).

Description
Use this command to change the output displayed on the switch console (serial
port or telnet session).
By default, quiet mode is off and all switch tasks can send output to the console,
including output caused by asynchronous events, such as the fabric reconfiguring,
or devices logging in.
When quiet mode is on, only output produced by shell commands is shown;
asynchronous output produced by other tasks is suppressed.
Turn quiet mode on when driving a telnet session using a script that does not
expect asynchronous output.
Operands
This command has the following operand:
mode
672
Specify 0 to disable quiet mode where all tasks are printed in the
console. Specify 1 to set quiet mode where only shell commands
are displayed in the console. This operand is optional. If no
operand is specified the current value is displayed.
