GVRP Commands

gvrp enable (Interface)

The gvrp enable Interface Configuration (Ethernet, port-channel) mode command enables
GVRP on an interface. To disable GVRP on an interface, use the no form of this command.
Syntax
gvrp enable
no gvrp enable
Parameters
There are no parameters for this command.
Default Setting
GVRP is disabled on all interfaces.

Command Usage
An access port does not dynamically join a VLAN because it is always a member in only one
VLAN.
Membership in an untagged VLAN is propagated in the same way as in a tagged VLAN. That is,
the PVID is manually defined as the untagged VLAN VID.
Example
The following command enables GVRP on Ethernet port 1/e6.
Console(config)# interface ethernet 1/e6
Console(config-if)# gvrp enable
