Connecting the Sony EVI-D30 Camera
The following explains how to connect the Sony EVI-D30 camera to
the ViewStation FX and the VS4000. Note that the ViewStation FX
and VS4000 require different cables.
To connect the Sony EVI-D30 camera to the ViewStation FX:
The ViewStation FX uses a single PTZ camera control cable which
splits into two cables ("Y" shape).
1.
Connect the two-connector side of the PTZ control cable as
follows:
a.
The S-Video connector plugs into the S-video port of the
camera.
b. The 8-pin DIN connector plugs into the 8-pin VISCA IN
port of the camera.
2.
Connect the one-connector side of the PTZ control cable by
plugging in the 7-pin connector of the (PTZ) control cable into
the ViewStation FX system's auxiliary camera port (4).
To connect the Sony EVI-D30 camera to the VS4000:
The VS4000 uses two separate cables: one S-video cable and one
camera control cable (DB-9 to 8-pin mini DIN).
1.
Connect the S-video cable as follows:
a.
Plug one end of S-video cable into the VS4000's camera
input 1 port.
b. Plug the other end into the camera's S-video port.
2.
Connect the camera control cable as follows:
Plug the DB-9 connector into the VS4000's camera control 1
