Using a PRI E1 Module with an Adtran Atlas 800 Plus E1
Module—The Adtran Atlas 800 Plus E1 module requires firmware
G03b or later. When using the G03b firmware, the user needs to wait
two to three minutes after the ViewStation FX or VS4000 has been
powered on and the PRI status icon has turned green before making
or receiving calls with the Adtran Atlas 800 Plus. This is due to
channel restarts on the Adtran Atlas 800 Plus E1 module. If an
outgoing call is attempted before this time, a "Network Congestion"
message appears on the ViewStation FX or VS4000. An incoming
call will receive a "Far Site Busy" message.
This section explains how to install and connect the Quad BRI
network interface module so that you can make calls over ISDN
with the ViewStation FX or VS4000 system.
To connect the Quad BRI network interface module to the
ViewStation FX or VS4000:
Make sure your ViewStation FX or VS4000 is turned off.

RJ-45 keyed port on the back of the ViewStation FX or VS4000.
