Engine Start/Stop

When the ignition switch is set to position I, there is a +24

V supply at the engine stop switch C119. The fuel lift pump

When the engine stop switch is set to RUN the engine shut

down relay R4 energises. The contacts close and +24 V is

connected to the engine ECU C251 pin 61. The engine

ECU enables engine running.

At the same time the input at the MECU C016-J2 pin 32

goes low. This informs the MECU of the engine stop switch

When the engine stop switch is set to STOP the engine

shut down relay R4 de-energises. The contacts open and

the input at the engine ECU C251 pin 61 goes low. The

engine ECU disables engine running.

At the same time the input at the MECU C016-J2 pin 32

goes high. This informs the MECU of the engine stop

switch state.

When the ignition switch is set to position 0, the fuel lift

K Ignition Power Supply and

pump de-energises.
