1. Make the machine safe.
Refer to: Maintenance > Maintenance Positions > Maintenance Position (Excavator Arm Lowered)
(Page 184).
2. Hold the handrail with both hands, then use the step between the top and bottom tracks to climb onto the
top of the track. Keep three points of contact with the machine at all times. Refer to Figure 206.
3. Keep hold of the handrail and use the steps on the toolbox to climb up to the top of the upper structure.
