Removal and Replacement
The sensor is a sensitive device. Do not subject it to shock.
Do not attempt to remove it from its mounting bracket.
Refer to the procedures in the applicable engine
documentation, Refer the Section K.

Engine Exhaust After Treatment
The DPD pressure differential sensor 1 is located on a
bracket 2 mounted on the DPD.
The sensor measures the exhaust gas pressure
differential between the inlet and outlet of the particle filter.
The signal from the sensor is seen by the engine ECU. In
this way the filter saturation level is calculated, the greater
the pressure differential the greater the saturation of the
filter. This information is used by the engine ECU to initiate
the applicable regeneration cycle.
Pipes connect the sensor to the applicable ports 3 and 4 in
the DPD.
Calibration
Before operating the machine the DPD pressure
differential sensor must be calibrated in the event of one or
more of the following conditions:
