Dismantling
Cleanliness is the utmost importance when servicing the
gearbox. All precautions to prevent any ingress of dirt, grit
etc. must be taken
Note: For details of service tools referred to, see Service
Tools, Section 1.
1 Drain the gearbox of oil and remove the oil breather
and level plug 2-4.
2 mark the gearbox housing to assist in the
reassembling stage.

4 Lift out 1st Reduction Planet gear assembly.
5 Remove bolts which hold the cover to the ring gear
and gear box cover.
