Fan Test Mode
To select the fan test mode, proceed as follows:
1 Start the engine and enable the hydraulic controls.
Warm up the engine.
2 Select the fan test mode to display the fan test status

3 Press the select rotary control on the DECU to start
the fan test mode. The engine automatically goes to
the H+ power band.

(1) The DECU displays the fan speed to the nearest 10
rpm.
To exit the fan test mode press the back button or home
button. Disabling the hydraulic controls or switching off the
engine will also exit the fan test mode.
Checking the Fan Speed
The expected fan speed is 70% of the maximum fan
speed, where the maximum expected fan speed is 95% of
the engine speed.
Example: For an engine speed of 2050 rpm the expected
maximum fan speed = 2050 x 0.95 (1947 rpm).

Selecting the Diagnostic Modes
The expected fan speed in the fan test mode = 1947 x 0.7
(1360 rpm).
Interpreting the test results: When interpreting the fan
speed result use a tolerance of plus or minus 5%.
