Changing the Bucket Linkage

It is possible to compensate for the lateral wear which causes the sideways play of the bucket. The regular use
of this compensating procedure leads to less wear on the bucket swivel pin and the dipper bushes.

1. Park the machine on solid, level ground.
2. Set the bucket as shown.Refer to Figure 153.
3. Turn the bucket slightly to the left and adjust it so that the arm end is pressed to the side which is not to
be adjusted.
4. Stop the engine and remove the ignition key.
5. Measure the clearance. Refer to Figure 152.
