DPD Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensors
The DPD is fitted with two exhaust gas temperature
sensors, sensor 1 (C258) at the exhaust inlet and sensor 2
(C259) after the oxidation catalyst. The signals from the
sensors are seen by the engine ECU. The ECU responds
by adjusting the fuel injection to ensure that the exhaust
gas temperature is maintained at the correct value during
regeneration of the particle filter.
Removal and Replacement
Refer to the procedures in the applicable engine
documentation, Refer the Section K.
Label the electrical
disconnecting. C003 is connected to sensor 1 (C258 - dark
grey), C004 to sensor 2 (C259 - light grey).
