Problem
Probable Cause
The control power supply is not
ON.
The main circuit power supply is
not ON.
Wrong wiring or disconnection of I/
O signal connector CN1
Linear servomotor cable or linear
connection cables disconnected.
The linear servomotor is over-
loaded.
Settings for input signals PnB03 to
PnB12 are incorrect.
A servo ON command was not
input.
The forward run prohibited (P-OT)
Linear
and reverse run prohibited (N-OT)
Servomotor Does
input signals are turned OFF.
Not Start When
Using JOG
The current position of the servo-
Operation or Host
motor is outside the software limit
Controller
setting range.
Reference.
There is not position reference, or it
is incorrect.
The polarity detection is not exe-
cuted.
The safety input signal (/HWBB1 or
/HWBB2) remains OFF.
A SERVOPACK fault occurred.
Linear servomotor wiring is incor-
rect.
Serial converter unit wiring is incor-
rect.
Linear scale wiring is incorrect.
Linear
Linear scale pitch (Pn282) is incor-
Servomotor
rect.
Moves
Instantaneously,
Linear scale counting up direction
and then Stops
and motor moving coil forward
direction do not agree.
Polarity detection is not performed
correctly.
Linear
Wiring connection to linear servo-
Servomotor
motor is defective.
Speed Unstable
9.3 Troubleshooting Malfunction Based on Operation and Conditions
Investigative Actions
Check voltage between control
power supply terminals.
Check the voltage between power
supply terminals.
Check if the connector CN1 is prop-
erly inserted and connected.
Check the wiring.
Run under no load and check the
load status.
Check settings of input signals
PnB03 to PnB12.
Check the command sent from the
host controller.
Check P-OT or N-OT input signal.
Check the error at the INDEXER
Module.
Check the error at the INDEXER
Module.
Check the parameter Pn080.
Check the command sent from the
host controller.
Check the /HWBB1 or /HWBB2
input signal.
Check the linear servomotor wiring.
Check the serial converter unit wir-
ing.
Check the linear scale wiring.
Check the setting of Pn282.
Check the directions.
Check if the value of Un004 (Elec-
tric Angle 2, angle from polarity
origin) at an arbitrary position is
between ±10 degrees.
Check connection of power lead
(phases U, V, and W) and the con-
nectors of serial converter unit con-
nection cables.
Corrective Actions
Correct the control power circuit.
Correct the power circuit.
Correct the connector CN1 connec-
tion.
Correct the wiring.
Reduce load or replace with larger
capacity linear servomotor.
Correct the settings of input signals
PnB03 to PnB12.
Send a servo ON command.
Turn P-OT or N-OT input signal
ON.
Check the motor position and soft-
ware limit setting (PnB21, PnB23),
then move the servomotor into the
software limit setting range.
Set the program table correctly.
Correct the setting of Pn080.
When using an incremental linear
scale, send the servo ON command.
When using an absolute linear
scale, execute polarity detection
(Fn080).
Set the /HWBB1 or /HWBB2 input
signal to ON.
When not using the safety function,
mount the safety function jumper
connector (provided as an acces-
sory) on the CN8.
Replace the SERVOPACK.
Correct the linear servomotor wir-
ing.
Correct the serial converter unit
wiring.
Correct the linear scale wiring.
Correct the setting of Pn282.
Change the setting of Pn080.1
(Motor Phase Selection).
Match the linear scale direction and
moving coil direction.
Correct the settings for the polarity
detection related parameter.
Tighten any loose terminals or con-
nectors.
