You can use the Statistics Commands to view switch performance statistics in both
the user and administrator command modes. This chapter discusses how to use the
command line interface to display switch statistics.

Command Syntax and Usage
show counters
Dumps all switch statistics. Use this command to gather data for tuning and
debugging switch performance. If you want to capture dump data to a file, set
your communication software on your workstation to capture session data
prior to issuing the dump command. For details, see page

Displays Layer 3 statistics.
Command mode: All
show ntp counters
Displays Network Time Protocol (NTP) Statistics. See page

clear cpu
Clears all CPU utilization statistics.
Command mode: Privileged EXEC
clear counters
Clears all statistics for all interfaces.
Command mode: Privileged EXEC
clear interface port <port alias or number> counters
Clears all statistics for the specified port.

Clears all MP‐related statistics.
