802.1X Configuration

The following table describes basic Layer 2 Configuration commands. The
following sections provide more detailed information and commands

Layer 2 Configuration Commands
Command Syntax and Usage
vlan <VLAN ID (1‐4094)>
Enter VLAN configuration mode. If the specified VLAN(s) doesn't exist, it will
be created. To view command options, see page
Command mode: Global configuration
show layer2
Displays current Layer 2 parameters.
Command mode: All
These commands allow you to configure the G8264 as an IEEE 802.1X
Authenticator, to provide port‐based network access control.

[no] dot1x enable
Globally enables or disables 802.1X.
Command mode: Global configuration
show dot1x
Displays current 802.1X parameters.
