Use these commands to configure a PIM router Rendezvous Point (RP) candidate.

Command Syntax and Usage
rp­candidate holdtime <0‐255>
Configures the hold time of the RP candidate, in seconds.
Command mode: PIM Component
no rp­candidate holdtime
Resets the hold time of the RP candidate to its default value of 0 seconds.
Command mode: PIM Component
[no] rp­candidate rp­address <group multicast address>
<group subnet mask> <IP address>
Adds or removes an RP candidate.
Command mode: PIM Component
Use these commands to configure a static PIM router Rendezvous Point (RP).

Adds a static RP.
