Lets you...
Change whether to display the physical frame number, or the logical frame
number, in the drive component identifier.
If you select physical frames for the Display Option, FRx is the number of the
frame from left to right when viewed from the front of the library. This is the
default display option and the way that drive locations are displayed on all
other screens.
If you select logical frames for the Display Option, the library main frame is
configured as FR1, and FRx increments for each additional drive frame
added, no matter its location. The drive frames are not numbered left to right
but are instead numbered based on switch settings in the frame. FR2 may be
to the right of the main frame and FR3 to the left.
Collect drive traces for LTO‐5 and later generation drives (see Use the Drive
Traces Button on page 408).
Note:
The Drive Traces button is not supported for TS11xx technology drives.
Display the drive performance statistics screen (see View Drive Performance
Statistics on page 162).
Note:
The Drive Performance Monitoring button only displayed if Drive
Performance Monitoring is enabled (see Enable Drive Performance Monitoring
on page 114).
Use one or more firmware update (code load) tapes stored in the partition's
entry/exit pool to update the firmware for selected drives (see Updating Drive
Firmware on page 472).
This button is replaced by Staged Drive Firmware Update if a drive
Note:
firmware update is staged to one or more drives.
Apply an update that is already staged to the drive (see Apply the Update on
page 486) using one of the following methods:
Autostaging (see Modify Auto Download Options on page 138)
Manual staging (see Update Using Drive Update through Package Update on
page 479).
Note:
This button only displays if a drive update is staged to the drives.
Remove or replace a drive that is already in the library. If a DBA has an empty
drive bay, the Add button powers on a newly installed drive and initializes it in
the library (see Adding or Replacing a Drive on page 496).
Notes:
These buttons only display on the front panel.
The Add button only displays if a DBA location does not contain a drive.
Clean the drive using a cleaning tape in an associated cleaning partition. See
Manually Cleaning a Drive on page 469.
Note:
The Clean button only displays if the partition to which the drive is
assigned has an associated cleaning partition.
View detailed information about the selected drive (see Viewing and Saving a
Detailed Drive Health Report on page 334).
