4.3.3 Replacing the base, including axis 1 gearbox

Refitting the complete arm system
Use this procedure to refit the complete arm system.

Action
Unfasten the arm system from the base by
unscrewing the attachment screws.
Fit two guide pins in the holes. This will facil-
itate the removal of the complete arm system
and prevent damage on the gearbox.
Lift the complete arm system carefully and
secure it in a safe area.
Note
Continue lifting even if the arm system turns
out to be unbalanced despite earlier adjust-
ments! The risk of damaging the interface is
bigger if the load is lowered unbalanced!
CAUTION
Always move the robot at very low speed,
making sure it does not tip!
If needed, continue to remove the axis 1
gearbox from the base.
Action
DANGER
Turn off all:
electric power supply
hydraulic pressure supply
air pressure supply
to the robot, before entering the robot work-
ing area.
Refit the axis 1 gearbox, if it has been re-
moved.
