In this Lesson ...

This lesson describes the Shmoo Tool, which is used as a debugging

and characterization aid. The Shmoo Tool also allows you to perform

Sweep Tests, which produce shmoo plots showing the operating char-

acteristics of the device while varying two input parameters. These

parameters may be AC and/or DC parameters.

After giving an overview of the Shmoo Tool features and uses, this

lesson shows you how to use it to perform typical debugging and char-

acterization tasks.

After this lesson you will know how to set up and execute the shmoo

tool to produce shmoo plots. You will be able to start the software and

know enough details of its operation to use the tool efficiently.

You will also be able to run Sweep Tests to generate the different types

of Shmoo Plots, and to analyze these plots.
