9-3 Wavetable Setup
Timing Setup
Device Cycle Names for Physical Waveforms
You can add a device cycle name to every physical and logical wave-
form. In this case, the vector setup uses the device cycle names to point
to a physical waveform. Actually, the device cycle names are mapped to
the hexadecimal physical waveform indices stored in the vector
memory. And it is the hex indices which point to the entries of the
physical waveform table.
The device cycle names are used to describe the edge actions.
Figure 120
shows the wavetable structure including device cycle
names for the wavetable gross_func_devcyc_wtb
.

If you want to use both wavetables in your test later on, you simply
define both wavetables in your Wavetable Editor. In general, you can
define up to 64 wavetables in the Wavetable Editor.
N O T E
If your timing setup is not completely equation based, you will have
wavetables from the equation based part and waveform sets from the
fixed setup part. In this case, the sum of waveform sets and wavetables
is limited by 64:
number of waveform sets + number of wavetables
64
