N O T E
You are likely to omit this step, because connecting the system to
mains is maintenance personnel's business.
2 Press the ON button (green button) on the support rack.
Allow approximately 3 seconds after switch-on, for the system to
stabilize. Note that the cooling unit's power will also be activated by
this button.
If the green illumination of the ON button stays on after the power up
sequence, the power system works correctly.
The yellow illumination of the middle button staying on after powering
up the system indicates a cooling regulation failure.
Switching Off the Hardware
To switch off the SOC Series test system:
1 Press the STANDBY (red) button on the support rack.
2 For maintenance purposes, put the line switch at the rear of the
support rack into the OFF position.
As already mentioned, this step is usually carried out by mainte-
nance personnel only.
Emergency OFF Switch
In case of emergency, press the red Emergency OFF push button on the
support rack (see
the testhead's housing (if installed).
This disconnects power from the entire test system, the load board
interface, and the cooling unit.
Cardcage
The cardcage is one component of the testhead. The cardcage locations
for a 512-pin and 1024-pin testhead is shown in
illustration of a 512-pin testhead with cardcage slot locations is shown
in
Figure
