The following steps are required to set up an Equation
Set and Timing Set
1 Open the Data Manager and select
2 Double-click the
Timing
You see the Timing Setup window.
3 Select
Select - edit
You see the TIMING_EQUATION_EDITOR window.
4 Either (if you are creating the first wavetable and timing set)
– click
Get Template
Or
– press Return to display the equation sets.
5 Define the equation set number and name:
– EQNSET 1 "gross_func_eqn"
6 Define the timing set numbers and names:
– TIMINGSET 1 "20 MHz"
– TIMINGSET 2 "50 MHz"
7 Define the period.
8 Define the edge delays for every pin used.
9 When you have inputted everything you need, click DOWNLOAD.
10 Click the Timing symbol in the Data Manager and click save.
When you save the equation set changes, only the Timing icon should
be shaded in the Data Manager. Otherwise you lose information.
The source code below shows you a simple equation set with physical
waveforms:
EQUATION SET and TIMING SET
EQNSET 1 "gross_func_eqn"
# Simple equation setup to be used with the
# "gross_func_wtb" wavetable. No spec variables and
# no equations are used. All I/O pin resources are
# directly programmed with fixed values.
TIMINGSET 1 "20MHz" # period and edge delays for a 20MHz test
period= 50
