Timing Setup
9-8 Logical Waveforms
Display Modes
When setting up wavetables you have to specify a default display mode
(keyword DISPLAY) for the wavetable. You always entered the line
DISPLAY multi
Actually, there are three different display modes for logical waveforms:
• Classic
• Single
• Multi
The display modes do not add anything new to what you have learned
so far about waveform definition. Rather the display modes provide
different options to display patterns, depending on the kind of pattern
you have defined for the device.
Classic Mode
The classic mode is used as a default display mode in logical wavetables
which define a single device cycle for all pins.
Figure 147
shows a
logical wavetable gross_func_wtb.classic which uses the classic mode.
