Vector Structure
After defining all configuration parameters for the pins, the vectors
provide the data for the tests. This lesson introduces the vector setup
and how vector data are represented in the Vector Setup Editor. In
general, you do not manually create vectors in the Vector Setup Editor.
Rather you use the ASCII Interface to create the vector file. You use the
Vector Setup Editor to display the generated vector data and also to
edit the vector setup.
In particular, this lesson discusses pattern management using the
Pattern Manager. This tool supports managing huge amounts of vector
data.
This lesson also discusses how you debug and edit the resulting vector
file in the Vector Editor.
You can change Timing and Level Sets during a single test by means of
sequencer commands. These commands also allow you to include loops
and to call subroutines in the Vector setup.
After providing some background information on the Vector Memory,
this lesson will show you how to use the sequencer commands.
W h a t yo u w i l l l e ar n
You will learn how vector data are represented in the Vector Setup
Editor and how to handle huge amounts of vector data using the
Pattern Manager. You will then learn how to debug a vector file using a
debug table and how to copy, insert, delete and search and replace
vectors
After this lesson, you will know what sequencer commands are avail-
able. You will be able to use these commands, for example, to change
Timing and Level Sets on the fly, or to reuse vector data.
You will know the memory types and structure (architecture) of the
93000 SOC system.
