Overwriting a Device Cycle
To overwrite a device cycle click on the device cycle you want to over-
write, you must first enter a new device cycle name.
You can directly type in a device cycle name. Alternatively, you can
select the device cycle name from a section box. You do this as follows:
1 Select
VecEdit - select a device
You see the selection box Select a Device Cycle.
2 Highlight a device cycle name and click Select.
The selected device cycle name is entered in the device cycle
column.
If you overwrite a device cycle without data parameters with a device
cycle associated with data parameters the system automatically enters
default values for the data parameters:
• A 0 for every input pin or the drive part of an IO pin.
• An X for every output pin or the receive part of an IO pin.
Inserting Vectors
You can insert a range of vectors at any position of your vector flow.
Position the cursor in the vector before which you want to insert a
range of new vectors. You can position it in any device cycle column of
that vector. For this column you can already specify the correct device
cycle. All other device cycle columns of the inserted vector(s) will be
filled with the default device cycle.
To enter a range of vectors proceed as follows:
1 Position the cursor in the vector line before which you want to
insert a range of new vectors.
2 Select
VecEdit -
insert....
You see the dialog box Insert.
3 Type a device cycle name in the entry field Device Cycle Name for
the device cycle column where you have positioned the cursor.
4 Enter the number of vectors you want to insert in the entry field
