address-family

Overview
This command enters the IPv4 or IPv6 Address-Family Configuration command
mode. In this mode you can configure address-family specific parameters.
When using VRF-lite, you can enter IPv4 Address Family Configuration mode for a
specified VRF instance before configuring that instance.
Syntax [BGP]
address-family ipv4 [unicast]
no address-family ipv4 [unicast]
address-family ipv4 [unicast|vrf <vrf-name>]
Syntax (VRF-lite)
no address-family ipv4 [unicast|vrf <vrf-name>]

To leave the IPv4 or IPv6 Address Family Configuration mode, and return to the
Router Configuration mode, use the

Parameter
Description
ipv4
Configure parameters relating to the exchange of IPv4 prefixes.
ipv6
Configure parameters relating to the exchange of IPv6 prefixes.
unicast
Configure parameters relating to the exchange of routes to unicast
destinations.
vrf
Applies the command to the specified VRF instance.
<vrf-name>
The name of the VRF instance to enter IPv4 Address-Family mode for.
