5.3.1.3 Preventing Overheating of the Scanner Motor

The machine is provided with a scanner motor cooling fan to prevent overheating of the scanner motor.

The scanner motor cooling fan is driven in fixed reading mode under the following conditions to cool the scanner motor:
Operating mode
In stream reading mode and standby
Between 60 % and 68.9 % reduction and fixed reading
Other than above in fixed reading

Use it to adjust the home position (standard
white plate read position) by entering a setting.
If the standard white plate is soiled, use this
mode to avoid reading the soiled area.
