5.4.4 Scanner Motor

5.4.4.1 Before Removing the Scanner Motor

1) Detach the reader rear cover. (page 10-19)[Detaching the Reader Rear

5.4.4.2 Removing the Scanner Motor

1) Remove the 2 screws [1]; then, disconnect the connector [2], and detach
the 2 wire saddles [3].

2) Remove the scanner motor [2].
- 1 spring [1]

Points to note when attaching
- Be sure to hook the timing belt [1] to the pulley [2] of a motor.
- Adjust the position [3] of host machine and the scanner motor [4].

5.4.5.2 Removing the Contact Image Sensor (CIS)

1) Pull the drive belt (front) [1] in the direction of the arrow so that the con-
tact image sensor (CIS) [2] will move where it is shown in the figure.
2) Detach the plate [2].
