Setting AC Power Frequency

Depending on the frequency of the power supply at the system
location, you can use
mode that the system uses. The setting you choose does not affect
the power supply.
Sometimes differences between the frequency of the display scan
rate and the frequency of the system power supply can cause
undesirable effects in the transmitted video, such as ßicker. To avoid
these differences, you should conÞgure your system for 60 Hz
power in the United States, Canada, and other countries where
60 Hz power is supplied. In countries such as England and parts of
Japan where power is supplied at 50 Hz, you should conÞgure your
system for 50 Hz power.
To set the AC power frequency:
1. Choose Set AC Power Frequency from the Localization Settings
menu.
A pop-up window appears, listing the choices.
2. Choose the AC power frequency appropriate for your location and
press ENTER .
The current AC power frequency appears.
You should name your site so that the system can display the name
during video calls. Choose any name of no more than 10 characters and
spaces combined as the site name. You might use your company name
or the name of your conference room or city.
To set the name of the near-end site:
1. From the General Configuration menu, choose Set Site Name .
An entry screen appears asking you to enter the site name.
2. Enter the near-end site name using the letter grid.
The site name appears at the near end. If you are in a multipoint
call that supports the H.243 standard, the site name also appears
at the far end, provided that the far-end equipment supports site
name display.
