Setting the Protocol Configuration
Set the type of network switch
Specify the number type used for
all calls
Specify the numbering plan used
for all calls
Specify whether or not local
numbers should be used to filter
incoming calls
Specify the Service Profile IDs
(SPIDs) and the local numbers (or
Multisubscriber Numbers)

If the indicator light is off, each time you place a call you must
choose between attempting the call at 64 kbps and adjusting to
56 kbps if requested by the network, or forcing 56 kbps
operation.
The default setting is on.
The
Set Protocol Configuration
such as dialect, number type, numbering plan, enable local
numbers, and set numbers.
When you choose
Set Protocol Configuration
ConÞguration menu, you see this menu:
The choices you make on the ISDN Protocol ConÞguration menu
should match the type of ISDN service you are using. You must
obtain this information from your network provider.
5ESS Fully Initializing is now referred to as 5ESS Multipoint.
5ESS Noninitializing is now referred to as 5ESS Point-to-
Point. Euro-ISDN is referred to as EuroISDN; NET3 is the
equivalent to EuroISDN. Multisubscriber Numbers (MSNs)
are referred to as local numbers.
Venue¥2000 supports 5ESS Point-to-Point; it does not
support 5ESS Multipoint.
